Meet Fourwaves

How It All Started

It all started in 2012 when 4 Ph.D. students in bioinformatics at the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada were organizing a large student conference. They needed an easy way to plan and manage the event, but no tool was available at the time, so they built a website from scratch to help streamline the process.

The event was a success and local researchers who were organizing other conferences started asking if they could use a similar website for their own events. This is how the founders realized how helpful it would be to have a self-serve platform for researchers that would allow them to save time and have a professional event platform.

Our Mission

At Fourwaves, we believe that scientific research is a pathway to a better future. Our mission is to empower researchers with tools that allow them to meet, exchange ideas and forge collaborations.

Fourwaves allows them to have the best tools available to organize their academic and scientific events. They can save tremendous time while giving a unique experience to their attendees.

Who We Help

We work with professors, researchers, students, and professionals in academia and research centers across the world that organize scientific events and conferences. The events vary in size, format, and topic, but they all fall under the academic and/or scientific categories.

We help organizers get a professional event website, manage registrations, payments, call for abstracts, reviews as well as all the tedious tasks behind. We also offer cutting technology for virtual and hybrid events dedicated to research events. For instance, we have a great built-in platform to host virtual poster sessions, so presenters can share their work in the smoothest way possible.
