Here are the February product updates.

Option-specific coupon codes

Option-specific coupon codes

If you want to give specific guests a discount on their registration, but you don't want it to apply on other items at checkout, this is not possible.

When you create a coupon code, you can now specify to which form options it applies.

Benefit: A better experience for invited guests and less manual intervention from your registration team.

How it works

When you create a coupon code, you can specify one or more items to which this coupon code applies. You can select as many items as you need.

Add coupon code

You can select many options when creating a coupon code, including to which form option(s) it applies.

When guests are at the checkout, the coupon code automatically applies only to those items. In the example below, the promo code gives a 100% discount to the student registration, but it doesn't apply to other items in the cart (dinner or workshop).

Coupon code gives a free item

You can also see to which items your coupon codes apply in the updated coupon codes section along with the usage and discount type.

Coupon code section

The coupon code section shows the usage discount type and also to which form options the coupon code applies.

Open API

We've opened our API, allowing our users to pull event data in real-time.

Programmatically pulling the data using the API, unlocks unlimited applications. For example, you can build external dashboards that are always in sync with your event data.

Benefit: Synchronize third-party systems with Fourwaves event data for custom applications.

How it works

  1. In your organization dashboard under Settings > API Keys, click Add to create a new API key.
  2. Give it a name, for example "Membership Management System" to keep track of where the API key is used.
  3. Click the eye icon the see the API key allowing you to copy it.
  4. Use this API key when you call an API endpoint. See the documentation here.

You can use the API to pull data from your account, including:

  • The full list of events
  • Event registration data
  • The list of event forms, their sections and fields
