October 2025 Product Update: Pass Transaction Fees, Accessibility Improvements, and Upcoming Mobile App
Introduction
We’re excited to share our most recent updates designed to help you reduce costs, increase transparency, and make your events more inclusive and accessible.
We’ve also completed a major technical upgrade that boosts performance and lays the foundation for the Fourwaves mobile app coming in 2026.
Pass transaction fees to participants

You can now activate an option to pass Fourwaves transaction fees on to your participants. These fees are clearly identified, making them easy to distinguish from your event-related costs.
Benefit: This allows you to recover these platform fees while maintaining full transparency with your participants.
How it works
- Activate the option under Configuration > Payments.
- The Fourwaves transaction fees are added to the participants invoice.
- Taxes apply if a participant provides a Canadian billing address at checkout.
- In your transaction data table, the column “Total” is now called “Items total”, showing the cost of form items (and their taxes).
- A new column “Charge total” shows the amount actually charged to participants, which includes platform fees if applied.
- Platform fees passed to participants can be fully refunded to them, but they will still be invoiced to you as the organizer.
Accessibility improvements
Accessibility is a top priority at Fourwaves, and our recent updates make your events more inclusive. These enhancements improve readability, navigation, and usability for all participants, including those with visual impairments or using assistive technologies.
Benefit: By making your event website and tools easier to use, you’ll provide a smoother experience for every participant and demonstrate your commitment to inclusivity.
What’s improved
- Higher contrast: Footer links and input placeholders now meet recommended contrast ratios, making them easier to read.
- Clearer navigation: Headings in your event footer are now properly coded so screen reader users can identify them as section titles.
- Better focus indicators: Keyboard users now see a more visible focus indicator that meets the 3:1 contrast requirement.
- Safer browsing: Links that open in a new tab are now clearer, reducing surprises for screen reader users.
- and much more!
Platform-wide technical upgrade
We’ve completed a major technical upgrade by migrating Fourwaves to Nuxt 4. While this update happens under the hood, it brings immediate benefits in terms of speed and performance.
Benefit: You’ll enjoy a smoother platform today, while our product team can ship new features faster in the future.
This upgrade also lays the foundation for our upcoming Fourwaves mobile app, planned for 2026.
